Leading Australian flooring solutions brand, Quick-Step, has launched a range of water-resistant laminate flooring – combining the splendour and durability of laminate flooring with the versatility and convenience of water resistance. Making laminate floors 100% waterproof, without the need for seals or additional coatings? Quick-Step is the first to succeed in this challenge.

With its brand-new ‘Impressive Ultra’ laminate floor range, Quick-Step takes flooring technology to the next level. Thanks to a fully closed surface, finished with a protective and fully waterproof HydroSeal coating on the bevel, the ultra durable Impressive Ultra range offers a unique water-repellent flooring solution. Water simply stays put on this unique coating, forming droplets that can be wiped off straight away. For the first time, Impressive Ultra can be laid in all the wet areas inside the home including bathrooms and laundry rooms. Thanks to the Uniclic click system, the floors can be installed just as easily as any other Quick-Step laminate floor.

It’s all in the bevel

According to National Product Manager, Quick-Step, Kendall Waller, the engineering choices made to create Impressive Ultra was to create a laminate floor to be fully resistant to exposure to water and other liquids.

“Quick-Step developed a technology that presses the floor joints into the surface layer during production. And on top of that, the HydroSeal finish keeps out the tiniest drop.”

“What’s more, this cutting-edge technology, using the same material for both surface and bevel, making the floors anti-static and fully chemical-resistant. The result? Dirt and dust don’t cling to the surface, making the floor much easier to clean and maintain; even a wet cloth and cleaning agents can be used. As a result, Quick-Step Impressive Ultra is perfectly suited for high-traffic areas, such as bathrooms, kitchens and entrance halls.

Technology meets authenticity

Quick-Step’s Impressive floors don’t just keep water out, they also offer a unique, authentic look. The edge is no longera single shade that closely resembles the floor’s dominant colour. “Our innovative bevel technology ensures that the wood grain, colour and structure of the planks blend seamlessly, not only along their length but on the short side as well. The result is so authentic and true to nature.”

Each plank comes with a different bevel, subtly adapted to the look and feel of its wood grain. Thanks to this genuine, modified shape of the bevel, the designs of Impressive Ultra floors are even more true to nature and unique in every way.

6 stunning designs

Quick-Step’s Impressive Ultra laminate floors raise the bar in keeping up with the latest interior trends. The collection offers six designs, turning oak wood into appealing flooring styles. All designs are entirely developed in-house, which makes them extra unique in the laminate world.

Mr Waller adds: “Quick-Step’s design department works ceaselessly to develop new floors. They focus on the unique Quick-Step features, such as deep surface structures, grooves that match the character of the wood design and an eyecatching interplay between matt and gloss accents.”

19 cm wide and 138 cm long, the planks bring each design to life, while the ample length can make rooms look deeper and more inviting. All Impressive Ultra floors are 12 mm thick, available in resistance class 33 and ensure maximum sound reduction in commercial and residential environments.

The six colours on offer include Classic Oak Brown, Scraped Oak Grey Brown, Soft Oak Light, Soft Oak Natural, Soft Oak Medium and Saw Cut Oak Grey.
